CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services
This qualification will provide you with the skills you need to plan and deliver person-centred services both to community groups or individuals. It will provide you with the skills to work in a broad range of areas, including children’s services, counselling, family and youth work, mental health, and alcohol and drugs.
At this level, workers may be autonomous with limited responsibility within established parameters and may be required to supervise and lead other workers in projects or teams.

Delivery modes
Blended Learning (combination of class based and Zoom sessions) – In order to meet NSW Health recommendations on social distancing in the workplace, Essential Skills Training has adopted a blended learning approach. Theory based units will be delivered as online Zoom sessions. Practical units that require the physical demonstration/observation of skills will still be scheduled as in-class workshops. All students will be scanned with a non-contact infrared thermometer upon arrival. Classrooms and thoroughfares are regularly sanitized with risk management practices in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff and students. (Next intake 2021)
Distance Learning – Learning materials and assessments are issued to students in hard copy or via email to study in their own space with access to trainers and administration support via; phone, email or scheduled support sessions.
Online – Enrol at anytime! Students can access learning materials and submit their assessments via our online learning management system (Axcelerate). Support will be offered via ZOOM web conference sessions, and monthly phone support from a dedicated trainer.
Pre-entry requirements
A competent level of literacy and numeracy is required to complete this qualification.
