Essential Skills Training & Recruitment (RTO 91729) in partnership with Connectability Australia and Whiddon Aged Care are seeking up to 16 participants to start their career in Aged Care and join their team as trainee care workers.

It’s hard to get into jobs these days without training or experience, so this recruitment process has been designed to give you both. Selected participants will complete the CHCSS00114 Entry into Care Roles Skill Set and a short work experience placement with Whiddon Aged Care or Connectability Australia. This way you get to see if this is the right career for you and you get to show the employer why you would be an asset to their team.

How the process works

Selected participants will undertake a 3 week (unpaid) training program starting Tuesday 24th August 2021.

The program is broken down into face to face training and an unpaid work placement (15-20 hours) over a period of 3 weeks, where you will be mentored and supervised by an experienced care worker.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be issued with a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment for the following three units of competency;

Whiddon Aged Care and Connectability Aust will then confirm the participants who will join their team under a traineeship model and complete the nationally accredited qualification – CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, whilst remaining in paid employment.

There is no cost associated with this program – This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
