Essential Skills Training and Recruitment (RTO ID 91729) in partnership with the Commonwealth Government, is excited to offer the Careers in Community Services program in the Northern Inland region of NSW.
This employment program strives to bring new enthusiastic workers into the Community Services sector in regional NSW. Bringing employers and job seekers together to create careers in our biggest growing labour market in Australia.
This 4 week program is comprised of 2 weeks of face-to-face workshops facilitated by our community services trainers followed by 1 week of work experience placement with a local community services organisation and followed up with a review session in week 4.
The aim to give individuals the opportunity to learn the skills they need to start a successful career in the aged care, home care or disability sector. Its a great mixture of accredited and soft skill training that prepares participants for what they might encounter as a care or support worker.
After learning some basics participants are them placed with a local community services organisation to see what life is like as a support worker and if this is the industry for them. It also works nicely for the employers as they have an opportunity to observe participants on the in a real work situation and can potentially find themselves with some great new team members.
This program is fully subsidised through the Regional Employment Trials Program – a Commonwealth Government Initiative.
