Complex Bowel Care with Skills Assessment

We offer a 3.5 hour non-accredited Bowel Care workshop with skills-based assessment. The aim of this program is to develop an understanding of bowel care for your clients that require support due to underlying health conditions. Our education sessions are designed around industry relevant legislation and practices.

This ½ day  program will cover;

• Anatomy of physiology & the intestines
• Common bowel problems & conditions
• The neurogenic bowel
• Autonomic dysreflexia
• Bowel care-invasive and non-invasive support strategies
• Legal and ethical considerations

Skills Assessment – Administer suppository and enema safely

Participants will receive a certificate of completion and completed skills checklist.

This courses will be presented by a Registered Nurse and Trainer & Assessor from Essential Skills Training & Recruitment.
