Each resident receives the individual support they require, through ongoing assessment and consultation between the resident, family and staff.

Fresh Hope Care are seeking 10-12 new staff members to be trained on the job as care service employees. In this role you will be required to assist with;

  • Personal Care – showering, oral care, continence management etc;
  • Food Services – dining experiences, monitoring of foods and fluids.
  • Social Support – assisting clients with leisure activities that suits their personal preferences.
  • Manual Handling – using safe techniques and equipment to facilitate mobility and movement support.

Successful applicants will undertake a 2 week (unpaid) entry-level training program where they will learn the basic skills an aged care worker. The program is broken down into 1 week of classroom based delivery, followed by 1 week of work placement (unpaid) where they will be mentored and supervised by an experienced aged care worker. Upon successful completion of the 2 week program candidates will be issued with a statement of attainment for 2 nationally accredited units of competency.

*This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

Fresh Hope Care will then choose multiple candidates to go on and complete the full qualification – CHCC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support whilst working in paid employment. Please note, we cannot guarantee employment for all participants.

Lifestyle Solutions provides services to people with a disability, young people and children in Out Of Home Care, their families and communities. They provide a range of foster care, family group homes and residential services for children and young people who are unable to live with their families.

To work in the role of an Intensive Therapeutic Care Support Worker in Out of Home Care you currently need to hold a Diploma or higher in a Community Services related qualification.

This program as been developed as a pathway towards meeting that requirement. Lifestyle Solutions is looking for 15 people to place in this recruitment program.

How does it work?

All applicants must attend the recruitment session. Successful applicants will undertake a 4 week  training program where they will learn the basic skills and knowledge required for this role, followed by 2 weeks of (unpaid) work placement where you will be mentored & supervised by experienced Lifestyle Solutions team members. Offers of employment may be made to those who Lifestyle Solutions feel will add value to their organisation. They will go on to complete the CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services via traineeship.

Who are we looking for?

Someone with a Certificate III or IV in Community Services with or without experience supporting children in out of home care.


Someone with experience working with children in out of home care but have no formal qualifications.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
