Start your Career as a Home Care or Disability Support Worker

We are searching for 18 passionate individuals to start their careers in community services.

It’s hard to get into jobs these days without training or experience, so this recruitment process has been designed to give you both. No previous experience or qualifications are required!

If successful in the interview stage, selected participants will complete an entry level training program. This way you get to see if this is the right career for you, and you get to show the employer why you would be an asset to their team.

Those who successfully complete the training program and are ready for a new adventure will join their new team as a trainee and complete the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support.

One of our team will contact you to run through the program details and to determine your eligibility. Suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview with Hunter Community Services or Eagleton Ridge.

Successful applicants will commence the training program on Tuesday 14th June 2022.

How the program works

Selected participants will undertake an entry to care training program starting Tuesday 14th June 2022.

The program will be delivered in a classroom setting with Essential Skills Training and Recruitment to give you the entry level skills and knowledge you need to feel prepared and confident to start a career in aged care or disability.

Participants must complete the classroom training prior to Hunter Community Services and Eagleton Ridge offering employment contracts.

You will then put your new knowledge and skills into practice through supported buddy shifts with your new employer.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be issued with a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment for the CHCSS00114 – Entry into Care Roles Skill Set;

Total course commitment – 4 days classroom training and 20 hours logged buddy shifts.

On completion of the program you will then be signed up into your traineeship to complete the nationally accredited qualification – CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support.

This program is funded under JobTrainer and is Fee-Free.
Training under JobTrainer is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.

We cannot guarantee employment for all participants. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone this course if the minimum numbers are not met.
