Enteral Feeding (PEG) with Skills Assessment
We offer a 3.5 hour non-accredited Enteral Feeding workshop with skills-based assessment. The aim of this program is to develop an understanding of enteral feeding and why it is needed. Then understanding your role in supporting clients that require PEG feeds. Our education sessions are designed around industry relevant legislation and practices.
This program will cover;
- Anatomy & physiology of the digestive system
- Types of enteral feeding
- Indicators for P.E.G feeding
- Health care planning
- Roles & responsibilities
- Medications and PEG tubes
- Legal & ethical considerations
Skills Assessment – Using a feeding pump correctly
Participants will receive a certificate of completion and completed skills checklist.
