On successful completion of this course you will be issued a statement of attainment in;
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Be aged 16 years or over. Students under 18 years must have parent or guardian consent to participate in this program.
- Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
- Have the ability to read and write English
- Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection, and basic digital literacy skills to complete the compulsory online learning module component of this course.
- Be able to kneel to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin that is placed on the floor**. If you have any limitations that may affect your ability to perform this, please contact us to discuss prior to booking.
**This is a mandatory requirement as stated in the Training Package and there are no exceptions that can be made.
Experience a blended learning approach that combines essential online theory with hands-on practical training.
- Online Self-Study Component: You will be required to complete a compulsory self-paced online theory and knowledge quiz in our learning portal prior to attending the First Aid workshop. The online quiz contains multiple choice questions and doesn’t need to be done in one sitting. You should allow approximately (1.5) hours to complete this part.
- In-Class Training and Assessment: Participate in (3) hours of in-person practical training. You will engage in simulated scenarios and CPR techniques allowing you to apply what you’ve learned in a realistic setting. Please wear comfortable clothing, as some mild physical activity is involved, and arrive at least (15) minutes early.
Remember, the compulsory online self-study and knowledge must be completed before attending the in-person training.
To enrol, you’ll need to complete an Online Enrolment Application and Student Declaration. Payment must be made on enrolment. Once your enrolment is confirmed, you’ll receive an Enrolment Confirmation Letter that includes details about your First Aid workshop booking and access to your student portal for completing the compulsory online theory and knowledge quiz.

- If The Workshop Is Cancelled By Essential Skills Training and Recruitment: A full refund will be given, or can be held in credit for a future workshop. Please know that we strive to avoid cancellations.

Date Swaps: If you need to change your workshop date, you can swap dates up to (3) business days before the workshop. You’re allowed (1) date swap, but please note that if you don’t attend the new workshop date, no refund will be provided.
