This course covers the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, manage and assess an emergency situation, use an automatic external defibrillator (AED), understand DRSABCD and the First Aider’s legal responsibilities. Provide CPR is trained and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Qualification Issued: Statement of Attainment – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Recertification:
This qualification is valid for 1 year. The Australian Resuscitation Councils recommends that CPR is renewed annually.
Blended – A combination of a (3 hour) face-to-face trainer led workshop and online/distance pre-learning component.
Approximately 6 – 8 hours. This includes the distance/online pre-learning component and a 3 hour classroom practical workshop.

On application of enrolment, you will complete a Pre-Training Review interview with one of our Customer Relationships Officers. The purpose of this process is to; ensure that this course is both appropriate, and the most suitable course option for you and determine if there is any additional support required to assist you with your training. You will then be sent a link to complete the online enrolment form and student declaration to finalise your enrolment.

The health and safety of our staff and students is paramount. ESTR has implemented a range of protective measures in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We ask that if you have any symptoms or feel unwell, not to attend the face-to-face workshop. We would strongly recommend that you test for COVID-19, place yourself in self isolation until you return a negative result, and contact us about transferring to another workshop (when available). All students will have their temperature checked on arrival at reception. Anyone with a higher-than-normal temperature (over 37.4 °C) will be unable to attend the class and will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
