CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

This qualification will provide you with the skills and experience in order to learn and maintain an individual’s well being through personal care and other activities of good living. You will learn the techniques required  to provide services to individuals with complex needs, and work with groups of older people. Individuals will learn about leadership and how to effectively lead teams and responsibilities involved, quantity and quality of outputs.

Delivery modes

Distance/Online –  Our distance/online delivery mode is where you learn in an asynchronous manner i.e., you work at your own place and never undertake a class face-to-face with a trainer and other students. You will have access to your learning resources and submit your assessments through our online learning management system aXcelerate, and your learning is supplemented with email or telephone contact with a trainer.

Blended – A combination of trainer led workshops (either in the classroom or remotely in the virtual classroom environment) and distance learning components. This model offers flexibility but also the benefits of face-to-face delivery.

Pre-entry requirements
A competent level of literacy and numeracy is required to complete this qualification.

Work Placement

To achieve this qualification you will be required undertake a mandatory 120 hours of work placement with a suitable employer.

This program is targeted at those already working in the Aged Care sector. In order to achieve the 120 hours of compulsory work experience, you can use your current workplace to log the hours for this course, whilst supporting people to enhance their independence and well being.

Enrolment Process

Student enrolments are completed via an online application, language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment and pre training conversation. This allows us to ascertain if this program is suitable for each individual and if additional support is requirement during training.

* Please note the LLN assessment is on online quiz and is not suitable for completion on mobile phones. As part of the application process you will not be charged any fees until we have been able to assess your eligibility for funding. A $0 amount will be show in the online application, an Essential Skills team member will inform you of the price as part of the enrolment process. A deposit will be required to finalise your enrolment.
